A case study on Retail banking (personal banking) of CITY BANK
Abstract
City Bank Ltd compacts with four diverse and substantial banking divisions which composes Retail Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, SME Banking and Treasury Banking. This report will provide a comprehensive elaboration of retail banking activities performs by the bank. Moreover it also includes general information, monetary information, learning, findings, and sanctions of CBL. Retail banking denotes to banking where banking organizations accomplish transactions which is directly related to consumers, rather than businesses or other banks. Services offered consist of: savings and checking accounts, mortgages as well as personal loans, debit cards, credit cards, and so forth. Under retail banking City bank provides three altered types of loan for better accessibility of the customers such as City Drive, City Express and another one is City Solution. There are some certain benefits and positive effects of the loan; again it has some negatives too, which are listed in findings part of the report. This report will be helpful to gain knowledge in retail banking and some other banking institutes in order to launch retail banking besides it may help the management of City Bank ltd. I have made it upon retail banking in correlation with General Banking, Foreign Exchange, Business Department and so on; I have worked on retail banking activities and saw financial trades of the bank. This report contains retail banking activities of City Bank of Dhanmondi Branch. Under retail banking, general banking department contain all deposits and withdrawals(both inwards and outwards), its activity, interest rates, cash, foreign remittance/ bills, money laundering, prevention of money laundering, dispatch, and all public services provided to its clients (& also to the bearers).
