Foreign Exchange Activities Of The City Bank Limited

Abstract

To complete my Bachelor of Business Administration course I have finished 3 months of internship at CBL. I did my internship in New Market branch of CBL. In these three months I have gained a lot of real experience about the banking activities and their particular departments of the City Bank Limited New Market Branch. The joining date was 12th September 2019 and the ending date of my internship was 11th December 2019 that will help me to understand the banking environment which will help me in my future. This report is mainly based on some specific activities of CBL. The topic of the report is the foreign exchange activities of CBL New Market Branch and the report is made on the base of their foreign exchange activities and analysis on that. The 2st part of this report is the basic information of the report as well as CBL. The 3rd part of this report includes the historical background of the bank and the information about the bank. From the beginning how the bank started its journey and how it becomes one of the famous bank In Bangladesh. Their branches and their departments’ activities they do. Their product and services they provide and the reason they are successful. The topic of the report is foreign exchange activities of the CBL New Market Branch which is discussed in the fourth part of the report. The information how the foreign exchange department serve their customers in this department, what are the services, modes and regulations of foreign exchange department of CBL are discussed there. The fourth part of the report is on the base of CBL data analysis which is mainly focused on the trend and regression analysis. The trend analysis on total expense and total income, Income Segmentation, Net income, Net export, total foreign remittance and based on these the implementation of each are presented with graphical representation. The regression analysis is done on the export, import and remittance with its return on asset. In this report I have showed the findings of the study also the recommendation and suggestion based on the three months of the observation and collection of the data of the City Bank Limited New Market Branch.
