Financial Statement Analysis of Listed Private Conventional Banks of Bangladesh

Abstract

The main objective of this report is to discover and understand the financial performances and situations of different listed private banks of Bangladesh over five (5) years with the aid of ratio analysis of twenty-two (22) different ratios. There were scopes and limitations as well while assembling this report. The Literature review in this study describes what Financial Statement is and how and why we analysis a financial statement. I have taken this data from some books and journals wrote by famous writers who have great deal of knowledge about the topic. Different figures and information have been taken from the annual reports of the banks given by themselves in their websites. In the Findings and Analysis section is the main segment of the study where different ratios and their meaning has been described and graphically presented and analysed. So that we can understand the banks financial performance over the five years. Conclusion includes a summarized decision about how banks’ financials performance was in last five years and how they can improve the situation.
