dc.description.abstractUnited Commercial Bank Ltd (UCBL) is one of the largest banks in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh it has successful financial turnover. In this report mainly deal with Human Resource division and Human Resource Information System. Based on my knowledge & practical experience I have made this report. I have surveyed questionnaire among 7 people who are directly associated with HRD. I have prepared my report based on information & data supplied by human resource department of united Commercial Bank Ltd. I have also personally tried to collect information regarding this particular topic. I have tried to use various source like internet, field data, and questionnaire. The banking system plays a critical role in underpinning economic development. Against the background of Financial Sector Reform Policy in Bangladesh here United Commercial Bank Limited (UCBL) is one of the first generation private sectors Banks in Bangladesh, commenced its commercial operations from mid-1983 and has since been able to establish one of the largest networks of 139 branches in seven different Divisions. The bank has 4500 employees in all over the branches. So they have many employees as well as they have so many positions or designations to serve the banking work to the customers. To maintain the huge amount of employees, they have HR department in their Head office. United Commercial Bank Ltd. offers all kinds of Commercial Corporate and Personal Banking services covering all segments of society within the framework of Banking Company Act and rules and regulations laid down by our central bank. Diversification of products and services include Corporate Banking, Retail Banking and Consumer Banking right from industry to agriculture, and real state to software. This report includes how HRD works by using HRIS, what are the possible divisions and work distribution in an HRD, how HRIS effect on recruitment process, training and development initiatives, compensation and benefits planning, personal appraisal management. United Commercial Bank Limited, since its inception, has placed equal emphasis on all the four key functions of the process of HRM-acquisition, development, motivation and retention. An effective HRIS provides information on just about anything the UCBL needs to track and analyze about their employees, former employees, and applicants. UCBL selects a Human Resources Information System and customize it to meet their needs.en_US
