Corporate Social Responsibility Practices during Covid-19 in Bangladesh
Abstract
The study focuses on express the corporate social responsibility practices in the listed companies of Bangladesh. In this study 65 companies are using corporate social responsibility during Covid-19. Thirty dimensions of CSR are identified from CSR literature and have been evaluated by the predetermined company. At the beginning of 2020, corona virus spread quickly in worldwide and countries are becoming a lockdown and government provides the rules regulations for all things and social distance. In Bangladesh, people also face challenging for mobile sanitization facilities, temporary quarantine sites. Most of the time people face healthcare facilities because lack of hospital admits sit and lack of oxygen. During Covid-19 most of the office worker lost their job and day’s worker did not find out any kind of work and days worker also face increasing product price. Students are continuing their studies by online system, many kinds of business they are also maintain their work by online because of closure all educational institutions and office, market etc. In our Bangladesh product price was high and short because for lockdown any kind of bus, truck is not maintained regular entry in our country. In this situation our economy also was decrease like: Now in our country garments industry is more effect on economy. During Covid-19 the entire garments factory is face lock down and closing their industry. They did not find any kind of work and did not make any kind of export. Now our country’s economy most of the time depend on garments, textile industry which percentage is around 60%.
