Role of Education in Women Empowerment in Bangladesh
Abstract
This study aims to examine how education affects women's empowerment in Bangladesh. In Study 1 of this research, the impact of education on FLF membership is investigated using secondary data. Binary logistic regression was used in this study, and the results revealed a strong correlation between FLF participation and education levels (i.e., no education, elementary education, secondary education, higher secondary education, and university education). The findings of Study 1 revealed a strong relationship between women's FLF involvement and their overall pay as well as their land ownership. Study 2 made use of primary data, which was gathered through an online survey platform. Additionally, logistic regression was utilized in this study to examine the connection between the six traits of women and women's employment. The results of research 2 demonstrated a strong link between economic empowerment and women's employment. However, there was no discernible relationship between the other five aspects of women's empowerment and employment in this study.
