Internship Report on “Comparative Analysis on the Implementation of Retirement Plan in USA and Bangladesh”

Abstract

This report is the culmination of the abilities and understanding that I have learned during the course of the internship period. The objective of this study is to provide the procedural framework and sequential measures implemented by the government of USA and Bangladesh regarding the retirement industry. There are six chapters in this report. The introduction part of this report provides a brief introduction of Data Path Ltd. and to the topic in hand. The second chapter is organizational overview and industry scenario. This chapter provides a comprehensive review of the organization, including an examination of the underlying rationale for its establishment and the process by which it was implemented. In addition, this chapter provides an analysis of the company's services, clientele, and administrative structure. Furthermore, it includes an overview of the industry and highlights the industry’s growth trajectory. It delves into an extensive examination of the methods, rules, and regulations governing the American Retirement plan. It briefly describes the process through which a corporation may do its plan valuation, outlining the necessary procedures that must be adhered to effectively evaluate a pension plan until a logical conclusion is reached. This chapter finally provides in depth analysis of Bangladesh retirement industry scenario. Universal pension scheme was recently introduced in Bangladesh. It provides the up-to-date scenario of the universal pension scheme of Bangladesh and how it compares to other developed countries. Chapter 3 of the report addresses the underlying motivation and aim, as well as the rationale for the preparation of the report. Chapter 4 encompasses the provenance of the information used for its completion. Chapter 5 presents the findings obtained throughout the internship time, offers suggestions pertaining to identified issues. Finally, I have concluded the report with chapter 6 by focusing on the future prospect of the retirement industry of Bangladesh. It suggests how to successfully implement the retirement plans as a solution to address the challenges faced by Bangladesh in the realm of pension plans. The retirement industry is a growing industry in Bangladesh. It has the potential to become a support system for the people of our country at the end of their retirement.
