Project On “Green HRM Practice for Sustainable Workplace in the Banking Sector of Bangladesh”
Abstract
This project report is focused on the topic: ‘The Concept of Green Human practice for sustainable workplace in the banking sector of Bangladesh.’ Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) refers to the effective use of HR functions to foster the sustainable use of resources in business organizations, contributing to environmental sustainability. GHRM emphasizes eco-friendly HR policies and practices that not only help organizations achieve their financial goals but also minimize environmental harm. It aims to promote the use of products, services, and processes that reduce pollution and limit the depletion of natural resources, creating a balance between organizational success and environmental stewardship. By adopting GHRM, banks can reduce their overall environmental impact. Simple measures like reducing paper use, conserving energy, and promoting digital banking can make a big difference. For example, banks can train employees to use resources efficiently and avoid waste, helping the bank to lower its carbon footprint. Through the research, It is found that the implementation of GHRM in the Bangladeshi banking sector holds immense potential. By adopting GHRM practices, banks can not only contribute to environmental conservation but also align with their broader business objectives. This synergy between sustainability and profitability is crucial for fostering a responsible banking industry in Bangladesh. Finally, some recommendations are offered to help the banking sector effectively implement GHRM practices, ensuring that they not only meet business goals but also contribute to a sustainable, environmentally friendly workplace.
