    Abstract
    This term paper is based on the internship at Meena Sweets & Confectionaries Limited in the Human Resource (HR) department and is the result of management behavior and tooling. The internship started on January 1, 2025 and ended on March 27, 2025. The main aim of this report is to close the divide between HRM theory and the actual application in a changing retail food industry. The report starts with description of company introduction, history, background, as well as its structure and organizational structure. It is followed by a review of the literature of important HRM terms. The first part of the report gives an insight of the key HR activities including recruitment and selection, development, managing payroll and performance appraisal, reward and welfare management, employee relations. Observations and informal interviews are described in detail in Methodology, including the procedures employed for primary and secondary data collection. Meena Sweets has been paying its salary on time and responsive recruitment. Nonetheless, the company’s training and performance appraisal are informal and unsystematic/casual. One interesting observation from the fact that HR is not only a career trajectory but also a layer for technology being used in their industry. In face of these daunting’s Meena Sweets continues to have a very positive work environment, brand respect as well as high level of cleanliness and quality maintenance. The study suggests that, the following trainings will help employee deliver best, through: “HRIS training, performance training, Compensation training, HC training, career planning and compensation training. Conclusion the HR department at Meena Sweets has an important role to play but can also improve significantly by implementing more contemporary and strategic HRM practices, which contribute to the company's competitive advantage and employee's satisfaction at work.
