“Remote Database Server” in the Operation of Datapath Ltd.

Abstract

The internship report is based on an analysis of how Data-Path LTD is performing work on remote database system. I had the opportunity to understand how the corporate world maintains their work, from this internship. This report's major goal is to illustrate the concepts and experiences I had during my internship. The purpose of this report is to present the findings of my internship with a retirement planning service provider. The aim of the internship was to understand how remote database servers facilitate work process in the companies. The growth of retirement planning industry has grown rapidly over the past few decades in USA. Millions of US citizens rely on these plans for their retirement savings. As industry has evolved, the importance of using technology has become a must. A lot of companies are now using remote desktop services to outsource their work from other countries. This paper mainly explores how Data-path LTD. uses remote database servers for their work. How efficiently they are performing and what constraints they are facing while performing their work and how they can overcome it. During my internship, I had the opportunity to work closely with the company's Actuarial team and gain insight into the various systems used by the company.
